Before we can go anywhere near Phlan, we need a party.
Since the goal is to carry four class-specific characters through the entire saga, we won’t need the ability to multi-class. We also want the maximum possible long-term leveling potential, so all four adventurers will be Human.
Each character’s alignment will also be randomized, and whatever ability scores the game gives us on the first roll are the scores we’re keeping.
There’ll be no rerolling just because the numbers look like shit. What appears first is what we get.
This is probably gonna suck.
Oh, and just for shits and giggles, we’re generating a random name for each adventurer based on a screenshot of their completed character sheet.
Let's fuckin' go!
Abilities: STR 16 • INT 11 • WIS 16 • DEX 16 • CON 15 • CHA 12
Starting: HP 10 • AC 8 • Gold 190
Our fighter and the only good-aligned member of this questionable little company. He’ll probably need therapy after this.
Abilities: STR 17 • INT 15 • WIS 16 • DEX 14 • CON 14 • CHA 15
Starting: HP 8 • AC 10 • Gold 90
A strong cleric with good scores across the board. She’s also an evil bitch with an apparent fondness for power and what I suspect may be a bit of a sadistic streak. This should go well.
Abilities: STR 14 • INT 14 • WIS 15 • DEX 17 • CON 17 • CHA 14
Starting: HP 5 • AC 7 • Gold 60
A magic-user with 17 Dexterity and Constitution and a rather mediocre Intelligence score. Lucian values his own freedom above just about everything else and isn’t concerned with rules, authority, or what anyone else thinks he should be doing. He’s the wild card of the party.
And eventually, he’ll learn Fireball.
Abilities: STR 15 • INT 12 • WIS 14 • DEX 17 • CON 13 • CHA 14
Starting: HP 4 • AC 7 • Gold 110
Our thief rolled the 17 Dexterity he damn well needed. Unfortunately for everyone around him, Merrick’s moral compass seems to point toward whatever benefits Merrick.
Did I mention he's evil?
Not a shabby bunch of assholes, if I’m speaking honestly!
They’re a little one-sided in the “evilish” department, but it’s probably a good thing Aldren’s around to keep everyone from becoming complete degenerates.
Now that we have a proper party, I think we're finally ready to descend into Pool of Radiance! I'll see you there!
